Six Step Re-Start Initiative Plan.

This program is to help work with other homeless support organizations'/entities to house individuals and families. We have case managers that assisting with getting homeless individuals placed in housing, in at least six to nine months. We maintain contact with our clients for assistance. There is also support for rental assistance and low-income housing families. We connect those suffering from mental illness, employment support, and other pressing issues with facilities that can better assist them.

STEP 1: GETTING CONNECTED

Get to know your caseworker and the staff and other individuals in the program. There are (20) beds reserved for individuals in this program.

STEP 2: ESTABLISHING ROUTINE

A regular routine needs to be established to fully grasp the responsibilities you will have. This builds the confidence in the individual to become familiar with everyday tasks.

STEP 3: SKILL BUILDING

This is where you will begin to build on equitable skills that will allow you to build financially and stay housed, such as employment classes. You have to attend classes that will teach you financial literacy on how to manage your money.

STEP 5: TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

By this part of the program you will be working independently and looking through housing resources for stable living. With employment under your belt, you will be ready to financially sustain your housing.

STEP 4: CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY

During this step you will be actively looking for employment in the community. This will be when you will begin networking in the community for familiarity.

STEP 6: MOVING FORWARD

This is the last step, where you will begin your transition out of the program, with minimal supervision (3-6 month check-in’s).
